Groups within email accounts have long existed. Even with new technologies like Facebook, group chats still exist. Email groups are still popular today.
Google offers a Google Groups forum where you can create groups, and share messages and files. Many people have expressed concern that Google groups are too public to be used as email groups. However, this is often less true than people realize. You can create private member groups only in Gmail. This post will show you how to create a
private “member only” email group in Google Groups.
Create Your Team in Google Groups
Go to Google Groups (https://groups.google.com) and click the "create group" button:

Enter the name and description of the group.
Next, in the options, select the "Email Group" type.
Then select Join with the "Invitation only" option.
Finally, press the "create" button to complete the process.

Add Group Members
Now that the email group has been created, you can add members to the group. From the left-hand menu, click Members -> Direct Add Members option:

That's all you have to do to create a group email account. Whenever you want to send a message to a group, send it to “yourgroup@googlegroups.com” (where ‘your group’ is the name of the group you entered in the first step).
Members, if you do "Answer All" will also respond to the group.
